Manchester United Not Discussing replacing Jose Mourinho with Zinedine Zidane

The Sun (UK)

As of this moment, Manchester United is not discussing the possibility of replacing Jose Mourinho with Zinedine Zidane, and have not done so, meaning Mourinho retains the full support of Manchester United’s board, according to ESPN FC’s Rob Dawson.

After a summer of drama and a defeat at Brighton on Sunday, speculation has increased that Mourinho may be finding himself on thin ice with the club.

However, executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward remains confident that Mourinho, who signed a new contract in January to stay with the club until 2021 can right the ship.

The news comes on the heels of reports that Zidane is atop Woodward’s wishlist should Mourinho exit.
