In a reversal, Manchester United’s Jose Mourinho says that he will no longer publicly criticize individual Manchester United players.
Mourinho made the statement following their defeat at Brighton on Sunday.
“Look, when I speak about individual displays and am critical with my players, you don’t accept it,” Mourinho said after the game, according to Sky Sports. “The press and pundits criticize when I go in that direction.
“I’ll analyze my players’ performances when they are very good. When I can’t do that, don’t push me to the other side.”
Mourinho acknowledged the reaction to his comments last season, taking them to heart. “I have to learn from my reality.”
