Jonathan Barnett, the agent of Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale, is denying claims that the player is looking for an exit from the club.
In fact, Barnett is speaking of the mutual love shared between the club and Bale.
Bale has been linked to return to Premier League this summer after clashing with Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane, a claim that Barnett is denying.
“Gareth is a Real Madrid player and loves Real Madrid, and Real Madrid love Gareth,” Barnett said, according to ESPN FC’s Dermot Corrigan.
“All this talk about leaving is written by reporters who have no idea what is going on and who need to write something and don’t care if it is true or not.”
There has been some rift brewing, as coach and sporting director Jorge Valdano has been critical of the striker not living up to his price tag.
Bale has missed 14 games this season because of fitness issues, notching 14 goals and 18 assists.
Although injuries have plagued his tenure with the club, Bale has notched 81 goals and 59 assists in 181 appearances for Los Merengues.
