Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is planning a major overhaul to the club’s roster this summer and according to ESPN FC, up to 10 departures and arrivals could occur at Old Trafford.
It is believed that Mourinho’s criticism of his players following the club’s FA Cup quarterfinal victory in which he accused players of “lacking class” and “personality”, was done knowing that he will be provided the necessary funds to make widespread changes at the end of the season.
It is believed the Mourinho wants to recruit at least four players aged between 25 and 28 to improve his options, and also wants to add a winger to his attacking options.
With the expected departures of both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Michael Carrick, the club will have additional funds to work with.
The club is also expected to field offers for Luke Shaw, Matteo Darmian, Daley Blind and Andreas Pereira.
There is also uncertainty surrounding the futures of Chris Smalling, Ander Herrera, Anthony Martial and Juan Mata, as well as the stalled negotiations with Marouane Fellaini.
Mourinho wants to build around Marcus Rashford, Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba.
