Roberto Firmino (Bobby) is fighting for a starting spot on the Brazil national team and he is letting his numbers and performance do all the talking. Liverpool and Brazil fans across the globe have to love what they are seeing from the 26-year-old forward, who was recently nominated for the PFA award.

Firmino has been in spectacular form for Liverpool FC in the 2017/18 season performing the best he has throughout his career. Additionally, he has successfully secured a spot on the Brazil squad for Russia 2018 (who are favorites).

This season Firmino has 22 goals to his name and 13 assists in 40 appearances across all competitions. He made his professional debut on October 24th, 2009 and has been improving ever since his Figueirense days.

Firmino then went to Liverpool for a 29-million-dollar transfer in the summer of 2015 and since being under Jurgen Klopp has been an incredible performer, outperforming Phillipe Coutinho.

To witness a player who has been. dropped from the first team at the end of November 2011 at Hoffenheim FC to becoming and integral piece in the Liverpool FC front three alongside Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah is wonderful.

Firmino has not been quiet in this year’s UEFA’s Champions League either, scoring a goal against Porto. Perhaps more impressive than the goal, performed two jump round house kicks in succession for a spectacular celebration. Many believe Liverpool has yet to be truly tested in the Champions League, although it hasn’t stopped their momentum thus far.

In the Premier League, they’ve been performing at a high level sitting at 2nd on the table with 60 points, they have beat the powerful Manchester City and tied Tottenham at Anfield due to a late penalty call for Harry Kane.

Just in Firmino’s last game against Newcastle Firmino had an 87% passing accuracy with 33 passes completed with 1 assist.

Firmino’s contract end date is in 2020, and he has mentioned that he hopes to keep things as they are, which is great news for the fans at Anfield.

Liverpool fans have enough to deal with since Philippe Coutinho’s exit, however Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Firmino are in sync and fans have seemingly forgotten such a high-profile player for the time being.

Teammates have described Firmino as being a player with great skill, because of the amount of work he does on and off the ball for the team.

It is going to be great seeing him sub on for the Seleçaõ this summer, as he has probably been the most underrated forward in the Premier League. Perhaps he may even be able to start a few games!
