Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Angel Di Maria is saying that he is not as happy as he was at the club after a difficult start to the season this year.
PSG beat Strasbourg 4-2 in the Coupe de la Ligue at Stade de la Meinau on Wednesday and Di Maria contributed by scoring a goal.
Di Maria has fallen out of coach Unai Emery’s starting XI plans this season and with the arrival of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, he could be on his way out.
“In Paris, yes” Di Maria said when he was asked if he was happy (ESPN FC).
“This season, not as much. I would like to play more. However, I am making the most of the minutes that I get to show that I deserve to be a starter.”
“It was an important match for us [against Strasbourg]. We had lost in the league. We knew that it would be difficult and that we had to give 100 percent.”
“When you concede goals, it is because something has not worked, it is annoying,” substitute goalkeeper Kevin Trapp said after the Strasbourg win.
“It needs analysing. I am frustrated but the main thing is that we qualified and that we were much better than we were here two weeks ago.
“All PSG players are here to win titles. The biggest, of course, is the Champions League. This is normal. However, when you play in Paris, you must win titles. The cups are very important, even if the Champions League is very, very important.”
