Barcelona’s Andres Iniesta Says Neymar To Real Madrid ‘Would annoy me’

Barcelona’s Andres Iniesta isn’t fond of the idea of Neymar making a move to Real Madrid saying that he would be annoyed if his former teammate left Paris Saint-Germain for Barcelona’s rivals Real Madrid.

Neymar quite Barca over the summer and joined Paris Saint-Germain for a world record transfer fee of €222 million.

However, it hasn’t been a smooth ride for Neymar as he has had a number of on-field and off-field incidents during his short tenure.

Barca striker Luis Suarez said that Neymar has too much admiration for his ex-club to ever move to Madrid, but anything can happen.

“Anything can happen in football,” Iniesta said during a news conference. “We’ve seen situations which seemed impossible and have then happened before.”

When asked how he would feel about things if Neymar did move to Real Madrid he replied; “I would be indifferent. Maybe it would annoy me a little bit because he’s a game-changer and he would strengthen a rival. But I’m not worried about it.”

Iniesta also commented on Ronaldo’s recent claim that he is the best player in the history of futbol.

“Each person is free to their own opinions and feelings,” Iniesta said. “A player at [Ronaldo’s] level, who has won the Ballon d’Or five times, obviously he is among the best.

“From there, we all have our own preferences. Mine is clear. I’d go with my teammate, with Leo, for all that he’s represented and still represents.”
