If Manchester United want to bring Antoine Griezmann to Old Trafford they will need to beat out Barcelona to do so.
United expressed interest in the France international last summer but instead opted to agree to a £75 million deal with Everton for Romelu Lukaku.
Griezmann decided to remain with Atletico and sign a new contract while the club served a transfer ban and opened a new stadium.
Griezmann is open to a move to Old Trafford he would ideally like to stay in Spain and have reservations about making a move, according to ESPN FC.
United is planning to be active with their sights also set on Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale and Juventus forward Paulo Dybala.
